Amid gusty winds, SDRF rescues 48 persons in Manasbal Lake | KNO

Ganderbal, Jun 08 (KNO): The State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) rescued 48 people who were stuck in Manasbal lake in centrally Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Wednesday evening.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) 48 people were enjoying boat ride in Manasbal lake when suddenly gusty winds started to blow.

However, Quick Reaction Teams (ORTs) started rescue operation and evacuated the people to safe locations, they said. “There is a proper mechanism through which rescue operations are carried out.

Today as there were gusty winds, our teams rescued people to safe places to avoid any untoward incidents" DySP SDRF Bashir Ahmad told KNO. He said already advisory has been issued not to go near the Manasbal lake for ride—(KNO)
